The sources of demographic data are: -

• Census

Census: - It is the main source of demographic data. It is derived from the Latin word 'censere' which means 'value or tax'. Census is taken to collects the details of all people in a country at a time. In Nepal, the central bureau of statistics conducts a census every 10 years. Census is conducted by 3 methods: - De facto method, De jure method and modified de jure method.
